Neuse River Speckled Trout near New Bern

A.J. with a keeper!

Caught plenty of specs today near New Bern on the Neuse River.  The weather was less than ideal with steady light rain and about 25 knots of NE wind.  Great weather for trout fishing.  Me and “Action Jackson” love this stuff.  Fish were eating little bay anchovies.  Guess I’ll have to buy a vice and start tying my own fly patterns on top of all the rod building equipment I’m getting this winter to start Tar-Pam Rod Works (stay tuned for details on that).   Forecast tonight says NE 25-35 knots with gust up to 50.  I can’t wait until tomorrow.  Just kidding, but only a little.  Call me at (252) 945-9715 and we’ll do our best to put you on some fall specs.
